So the drama officially begins when one day, a woman named Jini comes to Ji Woo with a case. She asks him to find a man named Melchidec and she would pay him a large amount of money to do so. He automatically says yes and then asks her what she knows about him. Jini says she knows nothing and Ji Woo is a bit troubled. He soon discovers things about Melchidec that may point to who he is, but he is hesitant to tell Jini. He asks Jini if there was anything that he would like to tell him first and Jini says no- then she says she'd tell him who killed Kevin although she has conditions- one of them being he has to find Melchidec first. Ji Woo has already begun to suspect that she is frantically searching for Melchidec because he is after her to kill her. Ji Woo takes up the case because of the large amount of money and to learn about Kevin's death. After Jini talks with Ji Woo, she departs from Korea to Japan. Ji Woo follows her and Jini disappears during the ride. It turns out Jini had left with her boyfriend Kai. Kai love Jini to death and he wants to have her- secretly knowing his assistant Sophie loved him *revealed later*. Ji Woo finds them quickly and tells Jini that Kai is one of "them" as in the people who want to kill her. Jini does not believe Ji Woo. The truth is quickly revealed as it turns out Kai was friends with the person who killed Jini's family but he didn't know of that person's actions. When he found out everything, who and why, he still kept quiet and struck a bargain with the murderer and his people about what they wanted and Jini's safety. Ji Woo finally manages to convince Jini after they get ambushed several times by bringing her to Kai when Kai was with the murderer and his people. Jini is devastated and they get ambushed again. Jini and Ji Woo get taken away and the murderer reveals himself as Chairman Yang Du Hui. He explains that he killed Jini's family to find the gold that her grandfather had taken away. He killed him because her grandfather threaten to reveal about the stolen gold. He then kills the rest of her family because he couldn't find the gold (or the key to the gold: the Chosun Bank Note). Yang Du Hui wants to get rid of the gold so there would be no evidence that the gold ever existed so he would not affect his son's presidential election. After Jini and Ji Woo run away from them, Du Hui sends out a murderer to kill them. Jini and Ji Woo try to get the gold back as evidence. Meanwhile, Kai, who had not given up Jini, goes to Yang Du Hui's son to convince his son to stop his dad. His son acts innocent but reveals his motive when he sends his dad away. Jini and Ji Woo notices Yang Du Hui had people everywhere... whereas, meanwhile, the team leader in the police department, Do Soo, found out every person that he arrested that had something to do with this case, was instantly released by his chief because Yang Du Hui ordered him to. Do Soo feels like the world was filled with injustice and quits- taking the gold with him, secretly. Ji Woo finds Sophie and together, they took the gold from Do Soo (who doesn't resist because he's a good man)... Now Jini takes the gold to find Du Hui's son (who had earlier told them to come to a press conference so he can reveal the truth) and Ji Woo follows- they get ambushed and placed in the hospital. The police is there to arrest them (because the chief is helping Du Hui and his son and they want the truth to be hidden). Jini and Ji Woo escape and find the gold gone. Jini leaves and that was when Ji Woo finds the gold Jini had hidden for safe keeping..........

Jini and Ji Woo get taken away and the murderer reveals himself as Chairman Yang Du Hui. He explains that he killed Jini's family to find the gold that her grandfather had taken away.
